1. Maintenance Categories and Responsibilities

1.1 Routine Maintenance
Conducted by the operator during or after each shift of work

1.2 First-Level Technical Maintenance
Conducted by the maintenance personnel per month

1.3 Second-Level Technical Maintenance
Conducted by the maintenance personnel per year

2. Maintenance Items

2.1 Routine Maintenance

Gantry Crane
2.1.1 Check if each mechanism runs normally and if there is abnormal noise during no-load test

2.1.2 Check whether the travel switches at both sides of the cart and crown block are intact and reliable; check if the buffer device is intact; pay special attention to the rising limit device

2.1.3 Check whether the brake yields reliable braking; make sure the brake shoe and brake wheel are in good contact during braking; when the brake shoe is released, the gap between brake shoes should be uniform; make sure that the brake wheel has no crack or scratch caused by friction pads and fixed rivets

2.1.4 Check if the steel wire rope on the drum and pulley is properly wound; check if the wire rope pressure bolts are tightened; check whether there is double-nut locking device

2.1.5 Check the wear and lubrication conditions of the steel wire rope

2.1.6 Check whether there is any foreign body hindering operation on the track

2.1.7 Make sure that the hook is fixed and reliable, and the rotating parts are flexible without cracks or peeling; check if the hook nut locking device is intact and the hook dangerous section wear is not more than 5% of the original height

2.1.8 Make sure the pulley is equipped with the device which prevents the wire rope from coming out of the pulley groove; check if the casing is intact, the pulley has no cracks, and the rim has no defects

2.1.9 Check the fastening status of the metal structure and the connectors of the transmission parts

2.1.10 Check if the current collector bracket and cord are properly placed

2.1.11 Make sure that the exposed moving parts, which may hurt people, on the equipment are provided with protective covers

2.1.12 Make sure that the interlock switches installed in the door at the end of the beam, in the hatch door through which people can go from the cab to the cart, and in the operating platform door are normal and effective

2.1.13 Check if the anchor and rail clamp are in good conditions

2.1.14 Make sure that is no suspended matter in the traveling crane

2.1.15 Make sure that there is no accumulated dust or cigarette butts in the cab and that there is no damage to the glass

2.1.16 Clean dust on the crane per shift; comprehensively clean the crane weekly

Electric Single-Girder or Semi-Gantry Crane
2.1.1 Check if each mechanism runs normally and if there is abnormal sound during the no-load test

2.1.2 Check whether the cart brake is good; whether the travel switch is intact and reliable; whether the buffer device is intact; pay special attention to the reliability of the rising limit device

2.1.3 Check whether the main hook deviates from its normal position during operation; if so, repair timely

2.1.4 Check the wear of the wire rope, whether there is broken wire or other phenomena; check the lubrication conditions of the steel wire rope

2.1.5 Make sure that the hook is reliably fixed and the rotating parts are flexible with no crack or peeling; make sure the hook nut locking device is intact and the hook dangerous section wear does not exceed 5% of the original height

2.1.6 Visually inspect the fastening status of the metal structures and the connectors in the transmission part

2.1.7 Make sure that the collector cord and bracket are placed properly

2.1.8 Check whether the remote control or the handheld controller is intact

2.2 First-Level Technical Maintenance
Check and maintain the equipment monthly. In addition to what described in the routine maintenance, the content of first-level technical maintenance also includes the following items.

Gantry Crane
2.2.1 Make sure that the wear amount of brake shoe liner is not more than 50% and the contact area of the liner and brake drum is not less than 70%; check the mounting and fixing as well as wear and lubrication conditions of the pin shafts

2.2.2 Check if the bolts are loose or missing

2.2.3 Check the fastening status of the bolts on the base of motor, collector and other components

2.2.4 Check the lubrication status of the current collector; its oil level should be within the limits prescribed; measures should be taken for oil-leaking parts

2.2.5 Lubricate the gears

2.2.6 Check the wear of the steel wire rope at the equalizer pulley and lubricate the pulley and pulley shaft

2.2.7 Check the status of the pulley; see if it's flexible, if it is damaged or has cracks; pay special attention to the wear of the fixed pulley shaft

2.2.8 Make sure that the irregularity of the work surface of the brake wheel does not exceed 1.5mm; the brake wheel should have no cracks and its radial circular run should be less than 0.3mm

2.2.9 Check the running status of the cart and crown block; there should be no phenomena like rail gnawing, three fulcrums, swaying during starting and stopping, etc.; check the wear of the wheel rim and tread surface; the rim thickness wear should not exceed 50% of the original thickness and the tread surface wear should not exceed 3% of the original diameter of the wheel

2.2.10 Check whether the cable bracket and small pulley are damaged or jammed

2.2.11 Keep the buttons on the power box control panel clean;

2.2.12 Make sure each part of the traveling crane is well lubricated

Electric Single-Girder or Semi-Gantry Crane
2.2.1 Check whether the bolts are loose or missing
2.2.2 Check the running state of the cart and crown block
